If you’re processing your visa at the consulate, I’m often asked, “Can my spouse go to the interview with me?” It depends. Each consulate has their own set of rules and each consulate has a certain amount of space that they can accommodate people. It’s important to look at the website and see if they permit spouses to attend the interview. Don’t be surprised if you get there that day and they say they’re filled to capacity and your spouse needs to wait outside. Each consulate is different, but don’t expect that your spouse will be allowed to attend the interview with you. If you have questions relating to this, please contact my office and we’d be happy to discuss that situation with you.
